SeaPointe Resort is our base of operations and one of our esteemed lodging partners. The address is 6400 Surfside Lane, Carlsbad, CA 92011. SeaPointe is approximately a 35 minute drive north of downtown San Diego. It is situated a half mile south of the Palomar Airport Road Exit off Interstate 5 and one mile north of Poinsettia Avenue in a low density neighborhood which makes for desirably less crowded conditions. For reference, we are just north of Encinitas and south of Oceanside. We will meet you by appointment on Surfside Lane at the white Chevy Express San Diego Surfing Academy van and cargo trailer featuring art by Blair Rusin.

From Interstate 5:

1. Exit Poinsettia Avenue.
2. Go west towards the Pacific Ocean.
3. Right on Carlsbad Blvd. South / Coast Highway for one mile.
4. Right on Island Way.
5. Left on Surfside Lane.

What You Need to Bring for Your Surfing Experience: sunscreen, towel, swimsuit, beach footwear, and a dry change of clothes

Coaster Train Information:

Reaching us in South Carlsbad from downtown San Diego on the Coaster Train can actually be faster, cheaper, easier, and more enjoyable than getting to Coronado, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, or La Jolla by car. The Coaster Train runs between Oceanside and downtown San Diego every day except Sunday. Exit at the Carlsbad Poinsettia Station. Walking Directions from the Carlsbad Poinsettia Coaster Train Station:

Head north from the platform towards the path to the left between the neighborhoods of mobile homes to the south and custom two-story homes to the north. Turn left and proceed north on Franciscan Road towards the three-story SeaPointe Resort.
